Some March Crafts!

First, marble painting is back! This time, you can cut out the shape you want and tape it to a piece of paper, place it in the box, and either dip the marbles in paint, or drop paint on the paper and roll away. You can use one marble like the top right picture, or many marbles like the darker pictures. If you do it this way, you will have 2 paintings when done! (the shape and the paper underneath) Royal purple for lent, for our King!
The next project is mixing colors to get green shamrocks, which should remind us of the Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!

Sorry for the blurry picture, my camera has just not been the same since dropping it last spring, and it is seeming to get worse and worse! Trace or draw a large shamrock, and cut it out, get your paint, blue and yellow.
Fold shamrock shape in half and then open up so there is a line for the children to see, they will paint one side yellow, fairly heavily.
And then the other side blue, a little lighter than the yellow side.
Then they can either fold it in half again and press the paper, or just mix it like my children did. Woo Hoo! You have Green!! Then sprinkle the paintings with gold sprinkles or green if you have green! (I didn't) So much for "Wordless Wednesday"!

  2. Very cute!! I hope to be up for some crafting in the next week or so ... perhaps we can do the shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day! I've never tried marble painting, but I'm sure my kids would love it ... Oh, and I really enjoyed your last couple of posts, too—holy water story and the one in which you had SO much to say =) Thank you for your prayers. I appreciate them greatly!
