Best 98 Cents Spent Ever!

Our keypad does not have a "cents" sign...? Anyway. Water Paints. Wal-mart. 98 cents.
Babycakes has painted these everyday since Monday and she sits there for at least a half-hour. I always have waterpaints on hand. There is so much you can do with them with minimal mess.
We've been making lots of turkeys this week and reading lots of stories of Thanksgiving and turkeys. It's a fun time! Trying to enjoy this time before the mad rush of Christmas stuff comes along. We have so many crafts for Advent and Christmas, we could do something every day, if this Mama gets it all ready! I always try to take the holidays one at a time. There is a lot of talk about Christmas out there in blogworld, but I'm focusing on this holiday first.
Have a blessed weekend everyone!!! Lots of Thanksgiving food to buy this weekend!

  3. First of all—Christine???! I come here to comment on cute painted turkeys, and I read about the effects of fiber bars! Oh my!!

Anyway, those turkeys are cute, Jamie! We are trying to enjoy Thanksgiving, too—lots of books from the library and perhaps a craft or at least some coloring sheets next week ... One holiday at a time, like you said =)

    Have a blessed weekend!

  4. those are great turkey pics to color. haven't found any god ones yet. I'm not looking in the right place. Water paints, huh? I'll have to keep that in mind for sure. currently, the best "under $20" I've spent has been the Legos. huge success at our house. every single night after dinner, for the last month or so. and so many different things to build. thanks for sharing.

  5. Hi Jaime! I posted on my website about a subject dear to my heart, the Blessed Mother and the Seven Sorrows Rosary! I recently bought a wonderful Seven Sorrows Rosary booklet and a Seven Sorrows Rosary from Immaculee. It is the second post on my blog.

Maybe when you get a chance, you will come check it out and share a little about your own devotion to the Seven Sorrows (Do you pray this special rosary? Have you received any special graces from praying this rosary?)! I would LOVE to hear more about this!

    Thank you so much!

May God Bless you and your beautiful family!

    Maria :)

  6. Ok, so I could earn some major points with my kids with this. I always say no to painting because it is such a mess, but this I could do. Thanks for the idea.

  7. Ummm...Christine is supposed to keep those little secrets to herself. And her car. :) We have had a laugh when we discovered the gassy nature of those yummy bars.
I remember getting them at Sam's and a lady in the aisle next to me gave me this advice:
"Those bars are mighty tasty, but never eat more than one a day. EVER."
    She was spot on!
