Laundry These Days

I got a much needed load of laundry done yesterday...
It was one of those days...
You know,
hold baby
put baby down
fold shirt
hold baby
put baby down
fold shirt
hold baby...

  1. Oh, Jamie, so sorry it was one of those days! Your pics are perfect illustrations of that. Even though little Simeon is obviously protesting, he is still so adorably cute.

I hope today is a whole lot better and not another one of those days...

  2. Aww, poor little guy. And poor mama! Must be something in the air because we had one of those nights last night. Ugh. I'm feeling it today. Good thing they are so cute!

  3. Sometimes it feels like they won't let us get anything done. When our number 5 was that way as a baby, I would just pray that I could get something done or get use to not getting it done. Now I am a lazy housekeeper but have happy kiddos. It guess it is a little price to pay. Now I am working on trying harder on the chores part.

We found out that number 5 had a rare heart defect. We didn't find it until she was 6 years old. I thought she was just a stinker sent to mess up my life. God needed me to love her and not the laundry at times.

I am praying for your little laundry disturber all the time. I hope he is gaining some weight. Love on him now as you never now what God has instore for him. I am told that when I face God he will ask more about hugging the little ones than how I kept house (I hope, at this point ;)

  6. Shelly--Today is better...the sun is shining, baby is sleeping and I got a shower!!!!

Neen--Love what you wrote at the end, what God would ask about, laundry or hugging--honestly, I want to do both!!

Barbara--Snugly? Sometimes, sometimes not, it's hard to get it all on and him in, and then he only wants to be fed....so sometimes it's not worth the effort...probably should have used it...he was fussy all day (I had gluten Sunday) so I guess gluten does help, he's a fussy baby anyway, but this was really bad Monday....

  7. Second Chances--I am usually up for 3 feedings between 12 and 7 and one of them for 2 1/2 hours, and am dead tired at 8am...but then I am used to it during the day, I'm not tired at all, it's those nights that are so hard!!! We can pray for eachother during the night!!

    Rosario---Thanks so much!

  8. Good to know today is better. Here in NC it is in the high 60's with bright sunshine. The dogs and I are loving it so much. Have to start on supper in a little bit.
Couldn't find my to-do list so I took a nap. Worked out pretty good.Happy Tuesday.
    Hugs,
    Odie

  9. I do not have a newborn at the moment and seem to be so far behind in all my chores. OUR home right now is a disaster!

    Poor little babe.
I haven't showered in 3 days. Ava is a hard baby too. She is so needy. Did I create that? oops ...hard toddler.

    enjoy the sunshine today!

  11. First, I have to say...how adorable is that little guy!

And I love the first picture!

Take heart, and let me tell you what my wonderful Godmother told me many years ago when I had five little munchkins running around and demanding too much of my time (and my house was a mess...and the laundry was never done...and I looked like I had five small children demanding all of my time...) She said to enjoy these days, because the days will come when you will have a perfect house, your laundry will never pile up, and you will always have time to do your hair...and you'll miss the days of cheerios in the couch cusions and crumbs on the floor...

I assume this happens when the children are moved out. As for teenagers, well...there's more fun to look forward to for you!!!

    Peace,

    LuAnne

  12. I hear you Jamie. See here's the thing... Ava's awesome, and my housework is STILL not done! What's my excuse? I have none, so I guess I'm just lazy!

God has sent you that little guy and he's teaching everyone right now what is so much more important. Don't worry. In 10 years you'll never remember that load of laundry.

    This is for you: http://youtu.be/lBDN8yWyNYU

    My prayers.
