I'm Hooked

Pinterest!
Every time I come to pump, now, I search on Pinterest,
( the DIY/Craft section)
I search and search and I could look for hours
at crafts and things to do with the kids,
helpful tips, like
Did you know that 2/3 cup vineager & 1/3 cup water,
makes the ice melt off your car windows?
Me either!
Or that you can use a bottle lid, fill it with breastmilk or formula,
put in a Nukie and freeze it,
then use it for a teether?

Or that you can make hard boiled eggs in the oven?
I know I wrote that one down somewhere....can't remember where though...

I found this great Christmas Crunch recipe:

Almond bark
Mint M&M's
Pretzel rods

Melt the almond bark, mix all together, lay on wax paper on a cookie sheet to set
(we set it outside for a quick freeze!)
Break apart
 3 Ingredient, 3 Minute Fudge
Sweetened Condensed Milk
Semi Sweet Choc Chips
Andes Mint Chips

Melt in the microwave for 3 minutes
stir
put in foil lined dish
Set it up, again, we use the great outdoors for this,
of course if you have animals, you might not want to do this!
You can mix the flavor up with Peanut Butter Chips, or whatever flavors you want.

These were so easy, the kids made batches too!

I want to make this for our bedroom...
 And this for the toyroom....
I want to decorate my Christmas presents like this,
using all my scraps of wrapping paper!
Oh!  And I want to make these rip/tear Christmas trees!!
(with the kids of course)
Don't even get me started on Valentine's day...
(I don't know how to "pin" or do anything, I just look and look and write a ton of things down)

  1. Wait until you learn how to pin. It has replaced bookmarking for me.

    1. I could totally see how that could replace it, and it's visual, which is better. I bookmark things and then forget what it is...

  7. Another addict here as well. :) Just can't help myself! The trick is to actually do some of the items I've pinned! I need to spend more time "doing" and less time "pinning". :) But the things I have done are great... decoration idea for my wedding, homemade "bouncy balls" with the kids (that didn't really bounce), oh... that bake "hard boiled" eggs idea... works great!

  8. I love Pinterest, too, though I don't spend near as much time on there as I did when I first discovered it. I do still like to pin though when I have time. It's a great "wind-me-down" sort of activity. I kinda go through spurts, too. Not too long ago I went on a big French themed pin fest. :)
I wish you had an account I could follow. It sounds like you'd have all sorts of cool crafty pins to share.

  10. I love Pinterest too. I spend hours there when I'm on. I've actually made things from there so I don't feel too bad wasting time. As long as I do actually make something. I've gotten great ideas for our house re-model as well. :)

Oh, the sugary stuff looks so delish!

And, I think the vinegar/water thing would be great in a spary bottle at the ready....I'm not a fan of de-icing!
