  2. Cute, and so true. But, if I were the mom shooting the bottom picture I just know I would be yelling, "Don't move!" etc. and it's surprising the little boy doesn't have a terrified expression on his face for fear of dropping baby. ;)

    1. Nicole--haha, yes, but he kind of looks like, "Hurry, I can't move!"

  3. jamie... you know this is sort of my world right now.

The baby girl in the top one reminds me of Ava as a newborn. She was "that" baby during her newborn shots (which ended up being so expensive that I couldn't even get them afterwards... I'm STILL grieving that one). When I want to see them I go to that lady's photography site and look at the awesome pics of Ava because she now uses them as advertisement... she was too cute.

The bottom one... much more real.

    1. Oh, Marijanna--I would be mourning those pictures too...just makes me sick when Sears shows us all the "extra" photos and we don't buy them, they just shred them!!

Have you asked your ultrasound tech if they can see hair? Only my first daughter had hair like your Ava...none of the others. Curious to see how much they look alike...I'm sure you are too!

  6. Oh ya! Real life! I should share the photo a photographer took of our kids (We had 8 at the time) dog-pilled on top of each other. They all were making crazy painful expressions! The picture just makes me feel like I'm in pain! Thanks for sharing! Blessings!

  7. (for some reason I can never "Reply" right below your comment)

Because the only ultrasound I had was at about 20-22 weeks, they didn't mention hair then. With Ava I had one of those fancy shmancy 3D ultrasounds (though she wouldn't show her face either time we went)... we can't afford it this time.

I'm wondering all the time lately what she will be like. I'm certain Ava's going to be a great big sister.

Funny... this week she's been coming up to my belly and just kissing it. I say, "Where's your baby sister, Ava?" and she runs up and kisses my belly. I just love that kid. I mean... she's only a little over a year!

I have motherly "suspicions" about what this new one will be like, but am almost reluctant to say because she's not here yet and I don't want to assume, I just want to fall in love with however she is.

Somehow I think she'll look different, though, but we'll see! I'm going to ask my midwife next time I see her if she can tell how big she is. She always KNEW Ava was going to be a big first baby (9.4lbs ...early)

I can't believe how soon she'll be here! Shaun walked through the door tonight and said, "Whoa, you look so ready! She's coming soon, huh?" ...and she is. She'll be here super soon!

Will be praying for you and little Simeon tomorrow. That sweetie... oh he just grabs my heart.

  8. I have a hard enough time getting all three to smile at the same time just sitting, this would be the end of me....my kids would be so mad at how many clicks it would take to get this shot.

    Funny!
