Mailboxes--Link up!

If you've been reading me for a few years, then you know my love for mailboxes!
I love them, because it is something that everyone usually loves to go to.
The kids get excited to get the mail!
It's always fun to see the mailman (or mail carrier)
Our mailboxes reflect us in some way
People go to their mailboxes to
get their bills, their letters, even love letters, birthday cards,
magazines, junk mail and coupons, the newspaper and
sometimes there is even a package!
This one is surrounded in flowers
This one has the flowers all to the side
I love the purple Clematis around this one!

Here is the type a lot of people use in our neighborhood, with no flowers around it.
(Good ol' Rubbermaid)
It has a secret back door to get your mail from

I love this one, I love the wild grass all around it!
I love this one too, with the cornfield in the background
I wonder if you can guess whose it is?

(it's Christine's!)

This is mine again, from last year.

And here's mine again, Morning Glories in full bloom
(from a couple years ago)

Now, for my first EVER Link-up,
on my own blog!!

  1. Love the way, the way the Morning glories adorn your mailbox. This was a fun link-up.

  2. This was too much fun! Alas, I won't show our present mailbox until hubby replaces it. Some (probably) do-do teen bashed it with a baseball bat, as happened to several others on our road. Serviceable, but quite battered.

  3. I LOVE your flowers. I can't dig around mine since it is cemented in a good amount of concrete at the base. This was such a fun idea, Jamie Jo! Just added mine, and I look forward to seeing others!! Happy Friday.

  5. My mailbox is too ugly to link up to this year! Maybe you can run this again next year??!! The kids and daddy "supposedly" bought me a new mailbox for Mother's Day...I got the "advertisement" for it, but it's yet to appear. Maybe I'm supposed to switch them out?!!! LOL Oh well. Cute idea for a link up.

    1. Ugly or not, I like them all!! If you click on my "mailbox" label you'll see lots of ugly ones too!

Ugly or not, they all bring hope to the recipient, right? I bet your kids still love to get the mail!

      Come on, show it!

  6. I would join in, but mailboxes in Phoenix are boring, ugly banks of locked up boxes at a "convenient" point in the subdivision. Mail theft is a problem around here, so none of the fun traditional mailboxes like you have. I like yours much better. I always had flowers planted around mine when we lived in the midwest and I do miss that! Enjoy your weekend and I hope you find good things in your mailbox!

    1. I like seeing them all, boring or not, pretty or not, it doesn't matter, it's just fun to think of the person walking to get the mail and the hopefulness they have before looking. We all have that right?

      Have a great weekend friend!

  7. We don't have mailboxes on our street! We get our mail delivered in the mail slot in our front door. We live on a busy main street, and I guess its safer for the mailman to walk from house to house than to stop traffic all along the road.

    1. Love that, Colleen! The Catholic school where the kids attend is in an older development. The mailman parks on one street and walks his route delivering mail door to door. I've seen some really pretty mailbox slots on some of the houses!

    2. Colleen, we used to have that too! (in our old house in town) walking mailmen...Some people would put a actual mailbox right by their door, kind of cute. We had a little box attached to the house.

Come on picture it! I bet your kiddos still love to get the mail!
