More Hair for Locks of Love!

One of the millions of benefits of having so many girls
is the amount of hair we get to donate to Locks of Love through Great Clips!
"Mary Hannah" decided she wanted to do it after 2 years growth on her hair!
I was sad at first when she decided this week she wanted to do it,
but after seeing her just blossom and bloom with her new cut
it just fits her spunky personality!
 Hmmmm....should I do it?
 Yep!  I've done it!!
(don't you just want to give it a mess up?)

Because Kari asked, she shall receive!!  (the back view!)

In the end, she ended getting 14-16 inches cut off total!
She likes that she "messes it up" to fix it!

    1. She is a cutie pie! And I'm not so sure about how generous it actually was, she wanted it short anyway!! It's kind of a bonus!

  3. Wow, she looks so old after the hair cut! You should look into Wigs for Kids too. That's who I donated my hair to a few years back. They give the wigs away for free to children with any type of hair loss (cancer, alopecia etc) where as LOL only gives to children with permanent hair loss (meaning those with cancer likely aren't eligible) Just another option to look into! :)

    1. Thanks Allison!! With 6 kids, we go with what's easy, and that is Great Clips, because they take care of everything, and it's free!

  5. It's gotta be so gratifying to know that all that hair that falls on the floor will not be swept up and thrown away like other hair, but used to give someone else a gift....(BTW, I know that they don't actually let the hair fall on the floor when they're going to re-use it for someone else. :-) But you know what I mean!)

  14. I love it! She looks so pixie! I applaud her.

I have had long hair forever and wonder what I would look like if I did that? It sure seems like their hair grows so fast and they do have thick hair.

The hairdresser wouldnt even take MY thin hair!

    pretty pretty pretty!

I have a hair post coming up also!

    1. I heard they take any kind of hair, if it's thin it just takes longer to get a full wig. It took her 2 years! Can't wait to see your post on hair!

    1. It is a good example, however, she did already want it to be cut short, so not really much of a sacrifice!!

  19. St. Therese was all about little sacrifices, so even though you don't think it is. It really shows her character for it to be her thought!

    1. Well, it was actually my thought, more because it was a "free" cut than anything...isn't that terrible?

  20. Jamie,
Candice was here today with her kids (Daddy had another commitment, and the weather is so lousy...) and I showed her this post. (Remember Candice is a licensed cosmetologist...)
She loves it!! Says its the perfect cut for "Mary Hannah's" features!! Her exact words were, "Oh how CUTE!" Just thought you'd like to know... ;-)
