Piano Recital!

I hope I'm not boring you with these
but this is kind of a scrapbook of sorts for me!
I'm going to show you these from oldest to youngest
The oldest 2 have had 7 years of piano
and the younger ones have had 1 year.
Their beautiful teacher Mary, is very special to us,
spreading her joy and music to our home!

It's not the very beginning because I had to snap a picture first,
then switch it to "record".

I never tire of hearing them play.
It's one of my favorite things in the whole world

She decided she was done after one year,
and said that is why she was so calm and relaxed
for this performance, she was thinking,
"I never have to play again"
(yes, I'm sad about that)

She loves to play and plans on at least 7 years!

  1. Wow!! They are FANTASTIC. I enjoyed listening to that so much. They are really talented. Maybe your second daughter was so relaxed because she's a natural. Tell her that a strange lady who reads your blog wants her to keep going!!
Thanks for sharing. So fun to see that.

    1. I told her Kathleen, but she is not buying it!! Kids are funny. NO matter how much I tell her she will regret it as an adult, she just doesn't think so. OH, well.

      I'm glad you liked it!

  3. As a piano teacher who currently has no students since she is a newcomer in a foreign country, I have to thank you for sharing their musical talents with us. They all played beautifully.

    1. I am so happy to hear that you still know how to play as an adult! That is my hope, that they can just play anytime, for fun, for the love of playing!

What a gift for your granddaughters though, and a sacrifice for you!

  8. I'm a fairly new follower to your blog and wanted to compliment your children on their performances. You must be very proud! Also enjoyed looking at the photos of your daughter's Holy Communion Day. She looked lovely, as did the rest of your family! What a special celebration! God bless!

  9. They all did so well! Did they choose the songs they would be playing? I've always wanted to learn to play the piano, such a beautiful instrument!

    1. Thank you Kari! Yes, they pick what they want to play. I always love the variety of songs at the recitals! It is beautiful. My son only plays the song he is working on, but my oldest daughter, she plays all the time, she plays a lot of different songs. I love hearing them play!

  10. Oh my God! Jedi was playing the tune of 'How to save a life' by Fray!! That's my favorite song. I got goosebumps now!
It's so nice to see you guys have a special place for music in your lives. I must mention it's lucky to have a life like that. When I told my parents I want to learn to play a guitar, all I got was 'Go study. Don't let these useless things bother your mind. Playing guitar won't earn you money. Studying will.' It infuriates me so much. When I land a job, I am so not holding it back. I am definitely going to learn play a musical instrument. No one can stop me then! :D

Your kids are really good at piano. I wish they get better and better :)

    1. Yes, it is!! I love that song too! (because of the piano!)

I'm so sorry you were not able to blossom where you wanted to when growing up. I have no doubt though, that you are blossoming now and because of wanting to play music, you will do even better now!!

      Love you Manju!!
