I usually am so taken aback that I'm speechless and later wish I could have said something zingy! What they really need is the prayers, tho - esp. those OB/GYNs who seem to relish the "control". Spiritually adopt one today!Kate J in MNnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7056332983367489033.post-77854351692336174232009-05-21T13:58:58.716-05:002009-05-21T13:58:58.716-05:00I had a few people tell us after our miscarriage (...I had a few people tell us after our miscarriage (which would have been our fifth child) that "God knew best" and that "four was enough". I would get SO angry because how did that make that child's life any less special, or important, or significant, because he/she would have been the fifth? So, I know where you're coming from. We have a lot of the same things when it comes to pregnancy (young kids, c-sections, etc) and the more we had, the more comments.

I am proud of you, and you have been through enough suffering to know what a gift life is.

I'm here cheering you on!Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11815691376686603623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7056332983367489033.post-50864329223394322872009-05-20T20:23:15.715-05:002009-05-20T20:23:15.715-05:00Thank you for sharing this beautiful post.

After being diagnoised with PCOS after our first child, a priest gave me a beautiful blessing and within 2 months we concieved our son. Thanks for sharing. Wouldn't do it any other way.

I often remind people that we do this by grace and grace alone and we don't get an advance on grace. We get exactly what we need when we need it. You don't get the grace you need for 6 kids if you have 5. You get the grace for 6 when you have six!

If we are blessed with another, we'll have the grace for another. If we are not blessed with another, we'll have the grace for that, too. (I turned 41 after my youngest was born. Time's a-tickin' for us!)

That poor doctor.
