More Butterfly/Caterpillar Crafts and Snacks!

Did I say my house was not a mess? Well...after today, my kitchen is! But that's ok, it was fun!
These are crescent rolls, a package of 8 made 4 caterpillars, we used chocolate chip eyes, pretzel antennas and pink sprinkles with cinnamon and sugar.

These are nectar sipping drinks...cups with flowers around, the straw is the tongue of the butterflies.

These were hot glued, so basically, they told me the colors and I glued, but they still liked making them together! (pipe cleaners, pom poms, beady eyes and magnets)
Ok, I think we are DONE with caterpillars and butterflies...maybe! It was a fun 2 weeks!
Now, I am on the lookout for bird snacks and crafts.

  2. Heres a snack idea for birds, that sounds fun:

    KID FEED
In a large bowl mix together sunflower seeds (the shelled variety for people), peanuts, mini chocolate chips, and raisins. Depending on how much you want to make you can use 1 cup each or equal amounts more or less. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Meanwhile buy and wash an inexpensive plastic bird feeder-making sure it's completely dry. Serve your "kid feed" in the bird feeder for a memorable snack time! Be sure to take pictures, so each child has one to glue in their Nature Notebook.

  3. Poor birds. I wonder what they think about all this snow. I wonder if you went out in it tonight?

  6. One more idea... Did you see my Easter day post?? Next to my kids baskets, they got little cakes (actually, strawberry shortcake cakes would work good since they have the ridge around the edges!) that were frosted and decorated with green coconut, jelly beans and topped with a peep! Those would be fun as well!
