I never even heard of O Antiphons until last year in the blog world. They are beautiful and I think Holy Heroes give a wonderful explanation of them. I love watching these kids!
Our family did the O Antiphons a few years ago. It was one of those years where I didn't get much else done and these don't start until the 17th of December! I was happy that I hadn't missed everything. I had read about them in the book - Advent and Christmas in the Domestic Church. I'm constantly amazed at how much I don't know about my Catholic faith. Thank goodness I love to learn! We've been doing a bit of the Holy Heroes Advent Adventure this year. The kids have enjoyed coloring & completing the puzzles. It's perfect for someone like me who just wants everything done & ready to use. My 5yo was singing along with the O Come, O Come Emmanuel song today . . . he'd learned the song late last month during his music lesson. He had a blast singing with the 'Holy Heroes' family - he even requested that I play it again.
We are really enjoying Holy Heros as well. Although we haven't gotten much done this week. We'll start again today!
This is my first time of have heard of O Antiphons.Learn something new everyday! Those kids are sweet. Very good singers!
Our church had some special teaching on the O Antiphons a few years back. I even did some cross stitch ornaments of the symbols. Boy, I used to be ambitious! They should be used more widely b/c they're beautiful. Nerm
