Holy Heroes Advent Adventure - December 17 - O Antiphons

I never even heard of O Antiphons until last year in the blog world. They are beautiful and I think Holy Heroes give a wonderful explanation of them. I love watching these kids!

  1. Our family did the O Antiphons a few years ago. It was one of those years where I didn't get much else done and these don't start until the 17th of December! I was happy that I hadn't missed everything. I had read about them in the book - Advent and Christmas in the Domestic Church. I'm constantly amazed at how much I don't know about my Catholic faith. Thank goodness I love to learn!

We've been doing a bit of the Holy Heroes Advent Adventure this year. The kids have enjoyed coloring & completing the puzzles. It's perfect for someone like me who just wants everything done & ready to use. My 5yo was singing along with the O Come, O Come Emmanuel song today . . . he'd learned the song late last month during his music lesson. He had a blast singing with the 'Holy Heroes' family - he even requested that I play it again.

  4. Our church had some special teaching on the O Antiphons a few years back. I even did some cross stitch ornaments of the symbols. Boy, I used to be ambitious! They should be used more widely b/c they're beautiful. Nerm
