Today's feast day is fitting for our first day of school, since our school is named
Our Lady Queen of Angels Academy
From my Mary Day by Day book:
"Your renown spread forth among the nations for your beauty, which was perfect since I placed my
splendor upon you."
Ezek 16:14
Reflection. Mary consented to be the Mother of the Eternal Word.
At that very moment, she merited to be made the Queen of the world and all creatures.
-St Alphonsus Liguori
Prayer. O Mary, you are our Queen. Reign over al hearts by the queenly power of your love, so that the Kingdom of your Divine Son may come upon earth.
Hope your first day of school is the best one yet. I know it will be full and rewarding!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post for our Beautiful Mother.
ReplyDeleteI am praying for a wonderful school year for your family.
Blessings to you~
Thinking of you on the first day of school.
ReplyDeleteI had one kid sleep till 1030am this morning. What a shock for that kid when he goes back to school next week!
I LOVE OUR LADY! Lady Queen of Peace bless Jamie and her beautiful children. Watch over them. Guide them to your son.
Happy first day of school and celebrating Our Lady's Queenship. How could you go wrong with a name for your school like that? Love it! Thank you, again, for your prayers and God bless your days ahead:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! Happy first day of school.
ReplyDeleteBTW...just wanted to say "thank you" for the comment you left another blogger with regards to "gestational diabetes" mothers.
I developed gestational 3x and it is misery! (Offer it up..no?!!!) Nothing is more frustrating than developing GD after eating well for nearly 28 weeks! Unfortunately (or fortunately...depending on one's outlook!), my age was more of a factor than my initial weight..although not so true by baby #3! Being 40+ and pregnant is a blessing...even with GD.
I feel it will be a blessed year for you and your kiddos. Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Hi Jamie, that was a perfect prayer and reflection for the first day of school! My son started today at our local Catholic School for the first time. He'd been attending a public school up until now so it should be interesting to hear his observations when I pick him up today!
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind but I tagged you in a fun Patron Saint Meme. It's about what is close to your heart and what you'd like to be remembered and praised for by God when you meet Him!
The Queenship of Mary is one of my favorites. The rebellion of Lucifer/Satan began over serving Mary as Queen according to the Mystical City of God by Ven. Mary of Agreda. I hope to begin an Apostolic Movement to honor the Jesus and Mary as the King and Queen of Hearts. I met with Pope John Paul II and gave him a specially commissioned statue of such.
