Thank you so very much for all your prayers!!
Simeon has been eating ever since!!!
He's not completely back to normal, but pretty close and so much better than he was doing.
He also had what I'd call the biggest blow-out ever
ever.
I'm not talking about any sales here.
Through 2 layers of clothes, up his back and up his front,
and every crack inbetween.
(a five to six day poop)
Sorry, were you eating breakfast?
That's normal talk in our house.
That's gotta make a baby feel better though, right?
That and no more Tylenol with Codeine!
Thank you again for all your prayers and sacrifices,
We not only prayed for sweet Simeon last night, but also all
praying for him.
What a blessing you are!
His tape on his face is almost completely off,
I'll try to get some pictures for another update!
Such good news, Jamie! Bless his heart- he probably feels loads better!
ReplyDeleteThere's a pun in there isn't there?
Delete:) I wasn't sure if it was too subtle...
DeleteSo, Glad things are going well.
ReplyDeleteNot so sure well...he's pretty whiny today but I am thinking it's his cold, and his nose is filled with scabs, so it's even harder to breathe!
DeleteOh good, getting back to regular would make anyone feel better! Was he in the exersaucer/bouncy thing when it happened? That's where all my kid's worst blowouts happened. The mess has nowhere to go but up the back!
ReplyDeleteit was not, He was on the floor, rolling and crawling, which is probably why it was front to back!! (I know that bouncy thing has been pooped in plenty)
DeleteWell, that might explain things. LOL. Poor baby -- no wonder he wasn't eating. I'm so glad he's feeling better! We'll keep him in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Wendy, yes, he's pretty regular usually...poor baby!!
DeletePraise be to God that he is doing better. We'll keep praying that he keeps improving.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Tina Marie!! I keep putting your blog up to comment on your thankful Thursday post, but then get distracted....I'll try hard today!!
DeleteHurray! So glad to here his improvement...being clogged up explains a lot...thankful for messy blowouts!
ReplyDeleteyes, thankful for poop!
DeleteThanks be to God!! We prayed our guts out here. I'll be sure to share the good news with the kids and Mark. I'm so glad he was able to move his bowls, too. Constipation can be awful for little babies. We've had problems with that in the past here, too, with our little ones. It's a mess when they do finally go, but you're so happy for them that you don't mind it. Unless, of course, it happens as you're holding baby while walking into the market. Then it might inconvenience you. haha ;)
ReplyDeleteOH, Kelly, it brings tears to my eyes every time I read how much you and your kiddos love and pray for sweet Simeon.
DeleteGosh, hope it doesn't happen again!!
Oh joy! I'm so glad that was nothing serious.
ReplyDeletePS I am surprised they did not give him a little laxative or at least glycerine suppositories. Codeine is a known "constipator." So glad that's out! ;-)
Sure wish they would have told me that!! All the doctor said yesterday was that the Tylenol/Codeine could take away his appetite...It's kind of weird, when he goes to the hospital for his face, it's all about the plastic surgeon, we don't even see a Pediatrician...I don't like that.
DeleteWhat great news! God is good!!
ReplyDeleteJan, Yes He is!!
Deleteamen. amen to a happy baby. amen to prayers answered...and a big AMEN to superduper filled diaper.
ReplyDeletehappy happy joy joy
Yay baby boy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy pc has been difficult lately and I've done very little reading of my favorite blogs so, I'm just learning now about Sim's surgery. Praise God that it went well and he's doing well!!
ReplyDeleteSo thankful! Please keep us updated!
ReplyDeleteSo happy he is feeling better! I will keep him in my prayers. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a testimony of the power of prayer! Thanks be to God that Simeon is doing better!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me smile... in a few ways. Hurrah for Simeon! Way to "Go"!
ReplyDeleteDeo Gratias! So happy Simeon is feeling better and that is was nothing so dire as you feared (that's always so hard, knowing the bad things it 'could' be and trying to figure things out...). Hope his snuffles resolve soon too, poor guy.
ReplyDeleteGlad for the easy fix....sorry for the person who had to clean that up.
ReplyDeleteThose were the days when I would ask myself if saving the clothing was really necessary. Hopefully in your case...it wasn't.
OH, my gosh Tina--SO TRUE!! Who do you think it was? I froze for a moment, holding his hands to make sure he didn't touch anything, and tried to think fast what to do first, plus try to get the clothes off without touching his sore face!! My 8 year old was about to do dishes (it was after supper) and she said, "I won't get my dishwater til you give him a bath mama" --Oh, yes! I'll give you a bath...used a million handiwipes to get most of it off first. I also am going to try to bleach his T-shirt, only because it's one of my favorites with little fire trucks on it...not sure if it will be salvagable though....
DeleteYou should hear some of the crazy talk at my house...LOL. I am so relieved that Simeon is doing better. I was so worry about him last night. My husband made me take a time out and go compose myself...lol. God Bless little man and his beautiful Mama too!
ReplyDeleteOh, Arley, what a sweet heart...so sorry we made you worry so much. It's amazing our little blog world, how much it brings so many close in heart and spirit. Thank you. God bless you!
DeleteI didn't quite have enough time to respond to everyone, but please know I am thankful for your prayers.
DeleteHe's doing much better, eating really good now. He's not quite himself, I think mostly because of his cold and his nose is filled with dried blood and scabs...making it harder to breathe.
You're very welcome! He is such a sweet little man. You can't help but fall in love with him!
