First, I must clear this up with Patty!
This is the correct way to shovel snow!
OK
(although, I'd rather shovel her way)
I must show my mailbox.
My poor mailman
Yesterday, I caught the neighbor's Bobcat guy
and asked him to make a big pile on our side of their driveway,
so the kids could play!
He did, you can see part of it here...
The temps got into the low 40's today
and we went coatless and hatless!
It was beautiful!
Little Red loved it!
Finally, it's warm enough to play outside!!
(it's only lasting a few days though)
Everyone wants their picture by the mailbox!
(like my new header picture?)
We have so much snow piled up, you can't even see our Mary statue or our steps!
Woo Hoo!! No coats!!
I'm going to end this with one question!
Milk chocolate or Dark Chocolate?
I'll tell you what I am in the comments
Christine--I know you are milk chocolate!
I am dark chocolate.
ReplyDeleteMilk Chocolate
ReplyDeleteMilk is winning....
DeleteLucky you! It doesn't snow where I live :(
ReplyDeleteCute pics! And yeah, dark chocolate for me it is! :)
I wonder, Manju, if you've ever been in snow?
DeleteYay for Dark Chocolate!
No, I haven't been in snow ever. But it does look very beautiful. Hoping to visit northern part of India someday, just to experience snow fall. :p
DeleteSnowy day fun! I love these pictures. Brings back memories of when my kids were all little (youngest wasn't even born) and we lived in Illinois and had snow piled up almost that high some years. Good memories! I like milk chocolate for taste, but dark chocolate for the boost it gives me! Thanks for this post and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMilk is winning...
DeleteI want these long winters to be a memory too--hahah!
So this is where we part ways, my sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteI am milk chocolate. all. the. way. : )
And that is a lot of snow!
And your kids are always so happy!
Have a cozy evening!
Oh, no!!! Milk is winning!!
DeleteOh, the kids are not always happy, believe me, they are not always!
You have a cozy evening too!!
Depends, but truly, I'll eat both.
ReplyDeleteYour header picture is so cute! And that's a wonderful picture of "Mary Hannah" too.
Finally . . . yes, the 40s were fantabulous! It was so easy to get the boys out the door to the library when I only had to worry about shoes and a sweatshirt.
Awwww, I'll tell her you said that, it is a great one, I have another of her eyes looking to her left....it's adorable.
Deleteoh, 40's make all the difference in the world, don't they?
I can't believe you don't have coats on! I'm not sure if we would be able to handle snow like that! Lucia said she wants to go play at your house with all that snow. We didn't get any here...usually never do. We're already getting up into the 70's and I hope it stays that way.
ReplyDeleteMilk Chocolate here! Dark is too bitter for me.
oh, 70's....I can only dream!!
DeleteBoth! I turn down no chocolate. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh--hahahhaha!!
DeleteI love the new header picture! And I prefer dark chocolate. My daughter introduced me to chocolate with sea salt in it and that my friend is a whole new level of yumminess!
ReplyDeleteYay Dark chocolate! Mmmmmmm....I have had a chocolate caramel with sea salt...heavenly!!
DeleteBeautiful. I love the middle picture of little red. He looks so happy. No snow here! Don't laugh but we did have 3 snow (but no snow on ground) days. Silly Houstonians.
ReplyDeleteThose Hustonians are silly...we didn't even have a snow day for this last snow! We get snow days when it's like 50 below!
DeleteMy kids were out building snow creations today for the longest time. It was so nice out (40 degrees ABOVE!) they didn't even want hot chocolate when they came in because they were already warm! Our mailbox is buried as well. That huge snow pile looks awesome! Bet there will be some killer games of King of the Hill on it!
ReplyDeleteOh, happy mom---what kind of chocolate?
DeleteKing of the hill rocks!! The snow is fun to play in when it's so nice out!! Not so fun trying to keep all their snow-wear dry though...
Dark chocolate!! I remember a back to back blizzard we had in Hull, MA in....2003, the snow was so high it completely hid our car. My oldest was actually sledding off the roof....lol. Don't miss those days.
ReplyDeleteYay dark chocolate!!
DeleteI did not know you lived in MA and lived through cold and snow!!! Yay Arley! I bet you don't miss those days!!
I wouldn't either!
Love all those smiley faces. The new header is great!
ReplyDeleteMilk chocolate all the way.
Thanks Kathleen!
DeleteMilk chocolate is winning!
Milk. no question. And, I am so glad the weather warmed up enough for you to enjoy the snow. I LOVE snow. And I LOVE winter. But, with my three littles, even I have had my fill this winter. It's too cold to go outside, and the kids are a bit stir crazy!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMilk Chocolate is winning....It's the cold days that are hard, you are right. Days like today when it's around 40 out, it's so fun to play and be outside!
Deleteyou know me so well. I only buy milk chocolate. If I am going to eat that bad stuff I want it to taste good. I rarely treat myself to anything but that. However, every Lent I give it up because it is my go to in life for just something sweet.
ReplyDeleteyup..gotta love that header! That is a lot of snow. Very cool neighbor to make some fun piles. This weather is crazy warm. like weird warm. Not use to it. Kids seem so happy it is warm too.
Milk Chocolate is winning....dang it!
DeleteIt wasn't the neighbor, it was the neighbor's snow digging out guy!
All the kids watched in our driveway, with and without coats, while he bobcatted all their snow out!
Gotta love a captive audience.
Ha ha ha ha ha! What can I say? I'm SO glad I don't have all that snow to sweep! I have to apologize for laughing at your ummm....misery? The mailbox...my kids said, "Oh my gosh!" Only once in my childhood did I live in snow like that up in Illinois. (Who knew jumping off the garage roof could be so fun??!!) The pic of little Red...priceless! BTW, you look so pretty out there enjoying it, too :) Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteOH, gosh, it's like this EVERY STINKIN' YEAR!!!
DeleteYou better watch out, I might just send you a shovel!
Happy Wednesday to you too!
Love how the pictures look..so BIG! you can see a lot more of the picture.for sure. great job super cool blogger friend.
ReplyDeleteI feel a little lopsided now looking at this blog...like I'm falling to the right....here I gooooooooooooo.......
DeleteOhhhh, what fun! (Says the woman who hasn't seen real snow in decades...) Seriously, though, it looks like you all have a great attitude about it and the kids look like they are having so much fun! And dark, always dark-
ReplyDeleteAnd Shelly--you tied it up!! Woo Hoo! Come on Dark chocolate people!!
ReplyDeleteThe snow is actually pretty fun when it's warm out (that would be 40 for us! We'd even take 20 something as warm!!)
Hi Sweetie! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOnly MILK chocolate here!! I won't eat Dark - too bitter for me.
Wasn't it a fun couple of days? We cut classes short to go out and play today. ;-)
Winter returns tomorrow...
Love the pick of you up top.... and the new header pic is great!
Love you!
Oh, no! You put milk chocolate in the lead again....!
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh, the weather makes it so much more do-able!!
Not looking forward to getting groceries in the cold again...grocery weekend!
Love you too!
Dark chocolate for sure.
ReplyDeleteThose snow pictures are great. I see southerners going, "What?! No coats! You're crazy!" It was 32 and sunny the other day and my oldest is like, "What? It's crazy. It's winter and I'm so hot. Mom, can I take my coat off?" :)
You have A LOT of snow. I know the kids love it.
The chocolates are tied!!
DeleteActually, the kids make winter worth it. (most of the time) (because they like the snow)
We are getting about another foot today, already have like 6 inches out there!
Oh my goodness! How fun!! I wish i could vote for which one is better. The truth is, it is chocolate, and all chocolate is good. :)
