Please join us!!
For us Catholics, fasting means no eating between meals
and eating one larger meal and 2 smaller meals.
Abstaining from meat can also be a way of fasting today
(we are choosing this)
Or
really any pleasure that is given up in the spirit of offering it up
for something, like Peace in our world.

If our Christian brothers and sisters join us in any way they can,
together we can move mountains!
Joining you Jamie Jo...
ReplyDeleteAnd Our Holy Father is Amazing!
Yes, he is!
DeleteI think fasting refers to only eating one large meal and two smaller meals, but abstinence refers to avoiding meat. But it certainly would be an even greater sacrifice to avoid meat as well today. Thank you for the reminder Jamie Jo!
ReplyDeleteYes, you are right Kari--thank you, I fixed it in my post, does it sound right now?
DeleteI am praying!
ReplyDeleteIt is our prayers that bring us all closer to the Body of Christ!! (we are the body)
DeletePraying for Peace as well. Thank you for sharing this, so non-Catholics can join in. Have a blessed Sunday.
