It's one of my fav blooms!! Next to columbine.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. :-)
ReplyDeleteAre these recent Jamie? Mine bloomed AGES ago and looked just like these.
ReplyDeleteI cut many for the house and friends. I left a few giant on the bush and they turned from white to a very pretty celedon green.
I can't remember how I did it but a while back I was able to dry some to keep year round in the house and they turned the color or champagne!
The dried ones actually look quite nice in "holes" of the Christmas tree...a very victorian look.
Enjoy your blooms, they are exquisite!
I was lucky enough to receive some of these from Jamie. They grace my home in my living room where I have a shabby chic decor. Though not as beautiful, I think I am going to get some silk ones for there yearround. I love their lacieness!
ReplyDeleteLast night Tom took me out to Olive Garden (we really needed a night out just the 2 of us), and lining the outside of their patio was these same hydrangeas. It reminded me of you again!
Did you know Hydrangeas (the blue ones) were my wedding flower?
+JMJ+ yes, these are recent. I have an old neighbor that I used to give her a bunch and she would dry them, they are beautiful dried. Great idea for the Christmas tree though!
ReplyDelete(I shouldn't call her "an old neighbor" since she is no longer my neighbor, she is my friend, and she is not old)
Melissa, I didn't know you had Blue ones, they sound beautiful though!
Very pretty. You have a super green thumb! You spread joy where ever you go.
