I watched this movie last week. I found it interesting, good and sad at the same time. It takes place during the Holocaust and is about a man, who, when he and his family are taken away, turns the whole thing into a game for his son. It is a foreign film so there are subtitles, but I'd say it's worth it, parts are very unrealistic, but a good movie.Monday, October 26, 2009
Interesting Movie!
I watched this movie last week. I found it interesting, good and sad at the same time. ReplyDeleteI just cried like a baby watching it (toward the end) . . . my youngest was watching it with me, understood all of it and cried, too! He said to me, sort of asking, sort of in disbelief, "Why, momma? Why do people have to act so terrible to each other?" Broke my heart!

I love watching it in the original Italian. I feel like speaking Italian after that. It is the perfect combination of joy and sadness. It really is beautiful.
