The theme this week is "MOM"
My mom thinks I'm weird, but I like hands.
I think of all the things hands do,
a lifetime of things.
These are my mom's hands.
They have changed a thousand diapers,
made millions of meals, cleaned the house,
wiped tears, given hugs,
and prayed
for me.
Because she loves me.
Here's my mom's hand, mine and my 4 girls
I love how it shows, my girls young hands,
and then how it shows my middle age hands,
and then my mom's old hands.
(if you go from the little hands on the left and go up and
around the little hands are in order of age)

My mom's and mine.
I love how they change with age.
(I have my dad's side of the family's fat farmer hands:)
Below is a picture of my mom at graduation.
I wonder what she was like back then
before meeting my dad, marrying, and having 5 kids....
My mom and dad
(the only people we still know, are Linda, my mom's good friend,
and her sister Kathy--the 2 bridesmaids)
My mom always tells us about how it had been raining before the wedding
and their heels were sinking in the mud, you can tell in the picture!

(You wanted to see a now picture didn't you?)
I know she thinks I do everything opposite of her,
and I do with a lot of things,
not because her way was bad,
but because my way is better,(just kidding)
my way is different.
I do do a lot of things a certain way
because of what she's taught me.
Every time I wipe a counter or teach my kids how to,
I think of her and when she taught me,
around age 7, she took my sopping wet rag,
after I wiped the counter with it,
wrung it out and wiped the counter dry with it.
Happy Mother's Day Mom!
I love you.
This is so beautiful, Jamie Jo. I love it. I too, often look at my hands and think that these are the same hands that held my newborns and changed diapers and pushed strollers. And will one day rock grandbabies I hope! Happy Mother's Day friend! And your mama is beautiful! : )
