A Few Things

I have 2 episodes of Downton Abbey on my DVR
and just can't find the time to watch!

The babies bug me in the show.
I want to hold them and play with them!
I'm sure it is like that for the very rich,
but, then, they need to show the very poor with their children or something

One time they showed, I think Lady Mary in a car, driving away,
passing the nannies walking the babies,
and she did not even stop the car!

I'd be like, "Stop the car! Stop the car!  I must say good-bye to my baby!"
Nope.
Nothing.

Wouldn't bloopers be fun to watch from Downton Abbey?

I saw this yesterday on Facebook.
No wonder I can never get them to stay in anyone's hair
I've been putting them in upside down!!
Can you believe Friends has been off that long?

I saw this on Facebook and had to laugh, this is me totally.

This was another thing I found this week about
my favorite cartoon kid movie!!
Read HERE

We used to have it in VHS, but no longer have a player,
I think we might need to find this in DVD
(for me)

This is what we use for easily distracted kids!
I actually found these at Oriental Trading
for pretty cheap (I can't link, I can't find them now)
This is 2 dividers taped together to make it tall enough.
If I find the link, I'll link it!
Milk chocolate and dark chocolate have come to a tie!!

Kind of funny.
If you want to vote for your favorite, go
to my last post
I've had one of those weeks,
on the verge of tears all week.
(I got my period yesterday, that explains that)
but when it happens, it's like all my worries
are all on edge
and the only thing that helps
is Jesus.
I am so thankful for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament,
that He waits for me to come in Adoration.

I'll end this with some cute for you.
she can barely walk, it's so deep.
We got dumped yesterday with a ton more snow....and it's cold and windy
and drifting like crazy outside.

I want to go bake cookies and watch me those Downton Abbey episodes...

Have a wonderful weekend!

Stuff

First, I wanted to share a couple of my current favorite songs:

And that tub scene, ummm, they are married.
I'm sure of it.

I love the young love and the old love.

Waiting for Superman....Love this!
(I have my Superman--Tom)

I love pretty much anything Daughtry.
Anyone remember him from American Idol?
He was my pick.

 Onto Downton Abbey!!
DON'T READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!

These two made me kind of, I don't know, sad.
Or maybe glum.
Yeah, I was glum about them.
 Til this last episode!!
Yay!  It was a great one!
(OK, except that she was still technically lying)

Here they are in real life.
Amazing transformations, huh?
They must put on pastey white make up or something for the show
They are glowing here!

And this is why I don't jog or run.
(or jump on the trampoline)
I'm serious.
Ask anyone who knows me.

Oh, what should I do with my hair?
It's long and curly and driving me crazy right now.

The Comprehensive Elimination Diet

Anyone hear of it?
Anyone try it and survive?

Tom has had some serious health issues
he's been home from work since Christmas.
His doctor put him on this diet,
to clean out his system,
so maybe his body will respond better.

He cannot have:
Wheat
Soy
Sugar or artificial sweeteners, not even honey
Oranges
Corn
Dairy
Beef or Pork
No coffee or tea

He can have Chicken or Turkey if it is all natural and raised organically
And he can have lamb
(do you know how expensive those meats are?)

Basically he's living on beans and brown rice.
He can have fruit
He does not like veggies
(which he can have)
He can have almonds and walnuts

He did not care for the almond milk...we tried it in a smoothie for him...but without the yogurt,
it just was NOT good.
I actually liked the almond milk plain. (a little)
And, NO, he does not like coconut milk, or ANYTHING COCONUT!!
(I love coconut milk and use it for my smoothies!)

It's only 30days...29days...28 days...
Hoping and praying this works.

Will you please pray for him?

I can take just about anything, if it is happening to me,
but when it is happening to people I love,
and I'm helpless...well...it's way harder.

Reviews and Previews

If you have not read this book yet, you are missing out.
You can see great customer reviews HERE

I read this book a few years ago,
and when I heard it was made into a movie and coming in November,
I had my 2 oldest read it.
It is a "can't put down" kind of book
They both read it within 2 weeks.
first one then the other.
We went to the movie last night
(5 buck free popcorn Tuesdays in Dec)

I was very impressed with the actors that portrayed the characters,
They did a wonderful job and I am so happy we had read the book first.

The woman that played Rosa, Liesel's Foster mama,
did such a wonderful job of convincing us she was hard, yet soft at the same time.

And Max, loved his character too.
And the mayor's wife
and cute little Rudy
and of course Papa.

Of course we got to see the previews and
I am kind of thinking this will be a good movie:

Interesting, huh?
Anyone want to go with me in February?
(This is not a Tom movie)
That's the girl from Downton Abbey that married
 the car guy!!

Since I'm on a roll here posting videos,
Are you excited for Downton Abbey?
Premiering January 5th (PBS Masterpiece)

Just in case you need some help with the characters:
(like I do)

Now there's some new ones coming this season,
I'll never be able to keep them straight...
I'm still mourning the mean daughter's husband, the heir guy's death.

Missing that English Show

Seriously, I have a terrible memory, I do remember that Mary's name is Mary,
OK, and Cybil, she's the one that died...but I remember most stars by saying things like this!

Thought you'd like it too!

I Need Kleenexes!

If you have not seen the latest episode of Downton Abbey,
I won't spoil it for you.

I just will say,
I watched it early this morning while pumping
and when I sobbed outloud, uncontrollably,
I was happy no one was up yet.

Who Are You?

I am Isobel Crawley!

Roll up your sleeves and prepare to get dirty, because Isobel's charitable jobs are right for you. Your hands-on work for those who need it the most can get you into trouble, especially when you cross the line from leader to bossypants. But while your values or methods may not make you popular, your heart is in the right place. And you back it up with considerable force of will.

I'll take it!
I think it's pretty darn accurate!

Take the quiz here and see who you are on Downton Abbey!
(it's actually to see which "job" fits you best)

Downton Abbey Talk

OK, time to Downton Abbey Talk
If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to come back

I was surprised at how many responded in my post yesterday
saying they have not seen it yet.
It seems like everywhere I go,
people are watching it, even husbands
(must clarify, not my husband)

Some people have wondered what it's about
and what the fuss is about
If they are missing out

I admit, I started watching it
last winter when I was pumping and looking for something to watch,
Everyone was talking about it
I watched most of them on Netflix
and caught up online

The first show, the very first episode,
was good til one particular scene, if I remember it was towards the end,
it was a gay/sex scene (TV rated)
and I was shocked.
I thought, why didn't anyone tell me?
then, I thought about all the lovely ladies
that were watching this show,
especially one of my favorites ladies

and then, thought if Barbara likes it, then it must get better.
and it did
There has not ever been another scene like that one since.
Makes me wonder if they maybe were going to go a different route
with the show and decided not to.

Now
about this past weekend's show!

My favorite part:

When Matthew kissed Mary, the night before their wedding, and,
being the perfect gentleman he is, he did not disappoint, he kept his eyes closed!!
Mary, on the other hand, being true to her character, did not.
(keep her eyes closed)

I was only disappointed they didn't show more of the wedding.
What did you think of the dress?
truth here,
made me happy we don't live in the 1920's
It's pretty, I guess, but so plain, which I guess must have been the style
which is actually one of the big reasons I love the show so much,
showing the styles and everything from that era of time
which, I guess, makes the dress beautiful!

Did you follow that?

I loved the part where Mary asks her father if he's happy,
and he responds
"I'm so happy my chest will explode."

Made me tear up.

And how funny is it that they picked
Shirley MacLaine to play  Mrs. Levinson?
I thought she was the perfect pick!

and my favorite line about her was Grandmama (Mrs Crawley)
talking to Mary about Mrs. Levinson, saying,
"She looks as if she will bury us all!"

What do you think about Bates now?
He might have a dark side that only he knows about
(and his dead ex-wife)

Where do you think they will all go?
Do you think they will lose Downton Abbey?
(they can't, right?  It's the name of the show)

My reasons for liking Downton Abbey:
the clothes,
the era of time
the relationships between the rich and poor
the relationships between the help and the rich
the chivalry of the men, the men, (with the exception of a couple)
have outstanding character.
I love a good strong man
(like my husband)

Why do you like Downton Abbey?
My curious readers, that have not watched
would like to know!

Making a Comeback!

Wow! So, it's been a few years since I've been on this old blog! I have some updates to work on but thought I'd start today! Ab...
