What a Difference!

 April
wet and muddy
July
(I couldn't keep them by the door like in April, they just want to go out)
Lush, green grass, trees and flowers everywhere

April,
lonely, ugly mailbox
 July,
 beautiful mailbox
(and new too)
You know how I love mailboxes!
April,
 white, pastey kiddos

July,
 somewhat tanned kiddos
(it's been a cool summer)

April,
right before she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes
(down about 6 lbs from the next photo)
July
Toothless, happy and 6 lbs up from April!
She's doing great by the way!
 April
My baby
July
OK, he's still my baby,
 but he's really really fast.
He might not be tanner, but he's blonder!

April
OK, this was not April, but today
Long beautiful hair
After,
Short beautiful hair!
She donated her hair (for the 4th time)
She got 16 inches cut off!!

Enjoying July
How about you?

  2. What a summer for you! Aren't the changes so much more obvious in the summer? I seem to be taking a lot of second glances at my kids and noting subtle changes too.
Your kids seem to be enjoying summer. Keep on having fun!

  3. What an amazing idea!!!
    I love this post, Jamie!
Looks like a beautiful summer, and you deserve it. : )
Isn't it weird that April seems so long ago?!?!
You know my love for all things fall, but even I admit...thus summer is passing too quickly!
Your daughter is stunning...long or short hair...
Have a wonderful day, my friend.
Oh, and please tell Christine I think about and miss her. : )

  5. My kids were in shock over the difference. Y'all had such a long, nasty winter. And you will love the moderate winters of the south. Your flowers, Jamie Jo, are so BEAUTIFUL!!! And of course, the hair! My word. My Mabel was shocked!

  8. Love the contrasts. I just knew your daughter was going to cut her hair once I saw the long hair pic. Her hair was long and beautiful but it does look great short too! :) Looks like everyone is healthy and happy. I pray the rest of your summer is just as wonderful.

  9. That is amazing she cut her hair 4 times and can grow it so fast! She is blessed with thick hair. She does look so pretty...long or short. Summer is beautiful now. Enjoying every day and then my favorite season is fall. Your flowers are so pretty. I have a little pretty going only because of the grad party otherwise I dont plant flowers. Nobody to see them! So so glad to hear sweetie pie is doing well. She does look so healthy. Miss you and want to talk soon!

  10. I love this post so much, like I love every post! Kiddos and happiness and then more happiness! Such a positive vibe. I am happy that Sweetie Pie is doing good :) love the 2nd pic the most. I have never seen so many flowers so beautiful all in one place! Just amazing! Just a quick question! What is it about donating the hair? Where does it go?
