Finally, huh?
I hesitate to even post these pictures,
because I feel kind of like it's exploiting him.
We love him so very much and I want to protect him from anyone who
would not love him for who he is, who God made him to be.
Love him, I guess, the way we do.
Which is silly, because no one loves any of our children the way we do.
But, it is because of blogs that I read that helped me when I first found out how special he was going to be.
And
so I hope this someday, helps someone else going through a similar thing in their life
to see this precious life and to love it and be so very thankful for this gift.
We are so very blessed to have the opportunity to take care of him,
to feed him special, to do the extra things we need to take care of him.
Our love just multiplies each day we get to take care of him and watch him grow and change.
We are so very blessed.
My argyle boys!
The kiddos are very excited to have a baby brother!!
Things are crazy around here, hardly time to do anything beyond
the bare necessities but we are surviving and each day gets a little better and a little
easier.
A little sisterly love....just a little, there's always someone who wants to hold him,
he is so very loved and blessed.
As are we, so very blessed, for our Christmas Miracle!
Simeon is gorgeous! What a sweet little boy he is! You are all very blessed to have each other!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and Happy New Year!
He is beautiful, precious, gorgeous, and perfectly made in God's image! Look at those eyes- breathtaking! I am so very glad to see these pics, and to know you all are doing so well. Take care of yourself, my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh what joy and love you share in those photos:) You are not exploiting Simeon...He has lessons to teach us ALL through your blog of faith and grace. He is an absolute doll! For a minute I thought you had unexpected twins when I saw your new header...the other doll looked too real! Thank you for sharing your sweetheart for us to love too:) You will continue to be in our prayers with all of your new adjustments. Ave Maria!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! He is so precious! What a blessing to have your children be so eager to hold and love him. Enjoy your moments with him. The newborn stage goes so fast!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I love his eyes! I can just tell he is something special, and you are so lucky to have him, and him you for his family!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love his name as well!
Look at those eyes! Sibling love is so very apparent. :) Happy New Year to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving his big ole eyes and oh! his siblings!
ReplyDeleteThe love they have for him just oozes out of these pics.
<3
Thanks for sharing.
He's adorable!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I had to go back and look at the first picture a couple of times, because it just looked like a nuk in his mouth.
The love you have for him is evident and I'm surprised that he has just melted from all that love from his siblings - because they are just covering him in that sweetness.
God Bless you all in the New Year!
Simeon is just precious!!! His eyes are amazing...God's perfect gift! Big brother (in addition to the rest of you!) must be in LOVE!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Jamie
Val
He is beautiful! He has such expressive eyes. I have a feeling that he is going to do great things and he was definitely brought into the world to a family will encourage his greatness.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the world Mr. Simeon! And a thousand prayers for health and sleep for the whole family.
Congratulations again Jamie and family! Simeon is beautiful and precious and such a blessing! And he is so very blessed too- to have a family who loves and adores him so much.
ReplyDeleteI love him so much!!!! I want to fly out with Leo for the day when things settle down. You think I'm kidding? ;)
ReplyDeleteWhhat a sweet, tiny, little man he is! What big eyes he has! Just spend every minute loving him. Life will be normal soon enough.
ReplyDeleteJamie,
ReplyDeleteHe's gorgeous! He has such expressive eyes! I can imagine you gazing into those eyes for hours everyday! My husband thought the same thing as Tiffany when he saw the baby doll. He said, "Whoa, that's a tiny one!" Please rest and take of you both!
Oh, and I LOVE his name!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jamie! You are truly blessed with little Simeon. He will bring much joy and love to your family! It's obvious how dearly loved he is by his siblings.
ReplyDeleteHe is sooo beautiful, Jamie. Like everyone says, look at his eyes! He really is a beautiful baby in every single way. I'm so happy that everything has turned out so well for you. I know that there are still tough times ahead with the surgeries, and I know you preferred not to bottle feed, but all I see is a happy and content baby. Well, as content as a newborn can be! I'm remembering well all the days when my babies were not at all "content!"
ReplyDeleteEveryone thus far have written and expressed what I think, so I'll not repeat . . . except that he is so precious and so blessed by the love of your family (and us! the extended family, if I say so myself). Love and Aloha to you all and Hau'oli Makahiki Hou (Happy New Year)!!!
ReplyDeleteJamie, those eyes of his! They are filled with such expression. You can see he knows how blessed he is to have been born into your wonderful family. He is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHe is so beautiful. Your family is so very blessed. I especially love the pictures of him with Jedi and his other sibblings. The love is so evident. Congratulations and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHe is SO BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations!
ReplyDeletePrayers are continuing over here... God bless you all!
For this child we have prayed...for this child we've all waited, along with you...for this child we are all most blessed. So happy to see photos of your handsome little man! Those eyes could melt anyone's heart--precious!
ReplyDeleteThe photos so perfectly express the joy he has brought your family. I bet they all enjoy their new brother, but Jedi looks especially proud to have a little brother :)
May your worries and duties be lightened in the coming days and may Simeon continue to bless many lives. I know he will! He touched us all from that first ultrasound photo and the news that he was going to be one special baby.
Take care, Jamie.
I was sooooo happy to finally see Simeon and the banner is awesome with all six in the picture. He is joy, love and such a blessing. Make sure and tell Simeon he has fans in NC that say welcome to this wonderful life. Thanks Jamie for the awesome pictures.
ReplyDeleteHuge Hugs,
Odie & Linda
So so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, the first thing I thought when I saw the first picture was, "Look at those HUGE eyes!!!!" He is beautiful, but I do know how you feel about sharing pictures... it takes courage, and also faith in our fellow humans, to share our special babies and hope for love and understanding.
ReplyDeleteYour little Simeon is so lucky to be in a home full of other children. Kids are so good at showing unconditional love and acceptance.
I can't wait to see how your journey unfolds. Thank you so much for your comment on my blog. It is so hard to know we have to "treat" our beautiful, perfect little babies for their own good, when we already love them so much just as they are.
Congratulations!! What a beautiful baby and a brother for Jedi, what a blessing!!
ReplyDeleteRemember that no matter how challenging this season of your life is, it too will pass and all that is new and hard now will soon be your regular routine and then only a memory!
wishing you peace in the new year!!
In Christ our Hope,
Julie
Simeon is such a beautiful baby, Jamie! I agree that his eyes are just amazing!
ReplyDeleteI know you all feel blessed to be able to care for him, but he is one very blessed little boy to have all those siblings to love him.
Thank you for sharing his pictures with us. I imagine it took a lot of courage. I think he's just perfect! I wish we lived closer so our new little boys could grow up together and be friends :)
Thanks for these adorable pictures, Jaime. He is awesome! I love the name and I love how excited his big bro is :) His eyes are so big and blue, they just draw us all in!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have no idea what it feels like to have a child with Simeon's issues (for lack of a better word), I do know what it's like to pause to show pictures of him to the world for fear of what others might think. When I look at my baby boy, I just see a beautiful son who is happy and a joy to have. But other people see him and all they can see is his huge red hematoma birthmark on his face. It's not life threatening or painful, it just looks bad, and I hate that others can't see past it to see the real him. See him with a mother's eyes full of love.
I think by putting his picture out there and sharing your struggles and joys as he grows will only let others see past his lip more quickly and focus on the wonderful person he is beneath.
Love you!
Congrats, Jamie. I, as well, am drawn to his eyes. Glad to hear the adjusting to a new baby is getting easier. So happy to read (earlier) that you were able to be home for Christmas. Take care, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteWow he is a handsome little man. Anything I say is a repeat of the last.. those eyes are what I see first. And those lips look so kissable. What a wonderful blessing he is and will be for your family. To see your (Jedi) holding him just makes me smile! All our love!
ReplyDeleteOH MY OH MY...like everybody else has commented on...LOOK AT his Beautiful EYES! OH Jamie, he is a sweet sweet little boy. He is so cute and precious.
ReplyDeleteFun to see all the kiddos lub him so. Big brother, Jedi looks so proud to hold is "little buddy".
How much joy and love this little soul will bring to your family.
You are blessed. He is blessed to have you lub him so.
I WANNA COME HOLD HIM!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTo hear you say 'my boys'...
ReplyDeleteplural...it just melts my heart. What a precious family you have. He's beautiful.
On the family picture on the couch- I saw the doll first, and then had to search to see the real baby!
He looks so cozy I just want to cuddle him!! (I'm sure you have more than enough takers on that!)
Thanks for sharing him with us.
Hi - Happy Holy Days -
ReplyDeleteSimeon is so beautiful, His eyes look like Jedi's. i see a big brother look a like. When the God in you met the God in Simeon, that is when you answered Mary's Fiat. Be it done unto me according to thy word. Simeon is so blessed to have a loving family to care for him. Behold the beauty Jamie and Tom.
Love you guys, Thank you for showing us Baby Jesus.
Bonnie
Jamie,
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful, precious, gorgeous, and very very special! I am sure that every post about him will inspire and encourage other families out there. Your family is blessed to be given such a special mission, to care for and raise up this little boy to be a man of God...I am hoping to drop a meal by next week to lighten your load a bit. Does your family like white chili? Talk to you soon and God bless.
He is absolutely gorgeous. Don't you ever let ANYone tell you otherwise. You are beautiful, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jamie! I just want to HOLD him!! And I'm going to chime in with everyone else….His eyes are mesmerizing! So, so precious. God loves us SO MUCH to give us humans such blessings. It leaves me speechless and teary-eyed. Thank you for sharing your family with us through your blog. Mama and baby continue to be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jamie!!! Simeon Thomas is as handsome as his name!!!
ReplyDeleteI yelled at the kids to come and see him - they are SOOO excited to finally "meet" him and gushed and Oohed and aahed over him.
I, of course, was tearing up as my heart was filling up...
What a beautiful addition to your beautiful family! He is absolutely precious.
Luke is so excited to see Nicholas holding his little brother. Very precious indeed! We're counting the days til we can see him in person!

For Love of Cupcakes
tears and heart swelling and admiration and joy in seeing those loving siblings and hearing your strong words...
ReplyDeleteGod bless you all! Your witness is powerful.
oh. my. gosh!!! The second picture of Jedi holding Simeon, looking into his eyes.... absolutely priceless!!! I've got chills.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Simeon with us, Jamie and family!! He is perfectly made in God's own image, and what a blessing he is.
Love and blessings to you all~
He is just beautiful! Congratulations! There's just something about that first picture that draws you right in. Probably his gorgeous eyes, like everyone has said. Wow!
ReplyDeleteJamie Jo,
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love his name! Second, He is so very blessed to have so many loving siblings!! He is a doll and I would love to hold him!! Wish you were in AZ because I would come over!:)
May God bless him always. Also, may God give you strength to do everything in these early days/months of his life.
God Bless you all!! And a very happy New Year to all of you. You are starting it off blessed by having Simeon in your arms!! :)
What a gift- he is precious! Our youngest son was born with some neurological problems and ended up having surgery at 16 months. It has been a challenge and a very different experience from our other four children, but I wouldn't change a thing. We have learned so much, and he blesses our family in a very special way. What you are going through with Simeon will teach you things you would have never learned otherwise. God bless you and your family. Thanks for sharing his sweet face with all of your readers. :)
ReplyDeleteJamie! He is just precious! I love seeing these amazing photos. I especially am drawn to the ones of your children with their new baby brother. Their love for him that is so captured in their expressions and in the way they are holding him is so telling of how awesome Our Lord is! You are so meant to be Simeon's mother, and your children are so meant to be his siblings ... and he is so meant to be the newest addition to your family. All of you were made for one another! How very, very blessed your family is!
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for all of you, especially Mom and Baby! Hope you're getting a little rest ;-)
My favoirte feeling that coms through the pictures is the love from the older siblings. They really love him no matter what. This is just a perfect example of how God loves each of us. Thank you so much for sharing them.
ReplyDeletewe are blessed by your sharing. may God bless you, your beautiful son and your entire family.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I just had a newborn. I can't thank you enough for posting these pictures. My wife, I remember, donated 100 dollars to an organization dedicated to helping children with this disorder. Yours is so far the opposite of exploitation. Please, if you have a moment, please take a glimpse at my blog, http://wrestlinggypsies.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI'm on the faculty at K.U. Leuven in Belgium in Theology. You may like the tenor of my reflections.
Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI just got into town and stopped by the blog to see how you were.
You are in fact 'wonderful'! Our family is very happy you have your precious gift home! He is, as my 5year old stated, "ADORABLE"!
May God continue to guide you all and show you each day how very special each of your children are.
Our prayers are still with you.

Take lots and lots of pics, he will change so much and so quickly, and just wait until he cracks his first smile! Your heart will melt like never before! The pictures I have of Catherine before her surgery are some of my most cherished. You are all so blessed! Continued prayers for all of you!
