Here's our smiling boy!!

(click on picture to see him better!)
His smiles these days are few and far between,
but he's doing pretty good, healing nicely.
He had his post op appointment today and
the doctor said he'll be clingy and sad for another week or two
One hard part post surgery is he's almost untrusting,
he won't lay down for naps or bedtime,
not being able to lay him down til at least 1am
and then only sleeping for an hour at a time or so.
He also needs to kind of re-learn how to use his new mouth,
with eating baby food.
He's drinking his bottle great though.
SO
We are loving him, reassuring him, kissing him
holding him, and blessing him
all the time.
We thank you again for all the prayers and sacrifices,
meals, and help from friends,
with the other kiddos,
all such blessings to us.
He is beautiful! Sending prayers for him and you all to get things back to normal :)
ReplyDeleteOh, poor sweet babe. I just want to cuddle him. I'm glad to hear he is taking his bottle well now. I love seeing his double chinned smile. So precious. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jamie for taking the time to update us! I was just putting Ava to bed and we were praying for Simeon and your family. SO glad everything's going the way the doctor expected, but sorry it's such a hard time for this sweetie and your family. Love across the miles! xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteSo glad that he is healing and getting better. Simeon and your family will remain in my prayers.
ReplyDeletePrecious little face- such a cutie still! Keeping him and all of you in my prayers, Jamie. Wish I was close enough to take you all a meal~
ReplyDeleteOh he is so precious, Jamie! Smiling like that after all he has been through. There is so much love shinning in those beautiful blue eyes! I wish I could give him a hug and a cuddle. Please give him some love from me. We are all praying for you guys every morning.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a Moby? Would he let you carry him around in one of those? That would free up your hands and still give him lots of cuddles. It is hard at this age, but if you have one give it a try!
Thank you so much for keeping us updated.
