13 Year Anniversary Sunday!

This is actually from last Christmas, but, I am 25 lbs lighter, than now, so it's the one I'm picturing
Here we are, so young, so long ago, so many things to tell you young couple. this is the $100 dress I had someone sew and the homemade flowers I made to save money, but, I couldn't be happier, I am so very blessed. I think that our love and blessings have just multiplied over the years!
13 years flew by, yet seem like forever.

We will celebrate by going out to lunch (Sweetie Pie is happier in the daytime) and then some finish-up shopping together.
If you click on the picture, you can see it much better!

  6. Happy Anniversary Jamie.

My wedding dress was made by my mil and we used the lace from my mothers dress. The dress ended up costing me $100.00 too.

It is amazing how you can cut down the cost of a wedding.

  12. Jaime, happy 13th anniversary to you and your husband! You have such a beautiful family!

What do you think are the keys to a happy marriage? Especially when a couple is given the cross of infertility? Any words of wisdom?

I find praying the rosary helps, having a sense of humor, and taking it one day at a time. I had a couple of bouts of sadness these past two weeks due to the infertility issues, but I have found praying my 54 day rosary novena and the 7 sorrows rosary has really been helping me a lot!

I wish I could go see Santa in the mall and when he asks me what would I like for Christmas, tell him "A Baby, please." but I know it doesn't work that way. I know I need to pray more and trust. With all my infertility issues which seem to be getting worse (I don't seem to ovulate anymore, which my Napro doctor confirmed by looking at my Creighton chart, a form of NFP determined by CM, which I don't seem to have either. But still I take out that rosary and pray, pray, and pray some more.

You know one of my cousins said something to me a week ago which really helped me. I shared my sadness about not having any children and not being a Mother. She told me that in my twenty one years being a teacher at two daycares I have helped so many children. So whenever I start to feel sad or discouraged, I remember that comment. I love that comment! It really means so much to me!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Jaime!

    Love,
    Maria

  13. Congratulations you two love birds! What a wonderful example your marriage is to your children of a godly marriage. It's so much fun to look back and see how far you've come, but you're still a cute couple! Love, Nerm

    Happy Anniversary!

BTW, my SIL made my dress for a whopping $40.00! So high five to savy brides...
