P.S. I never realized, until now, that we both have 4 girls and 1 boy. Maybe it was because your boy is the oldest, and mine is second-to-youngest ... Anyway, cool!
Happy Gaudete! beautiful little saints. oh i loved the post about your daughter's first confession -- how she didn't see why the other girl was afraid, and how she felt so happy afterward. my. just lovely. and I would love to belong to a Catholic Women's book club. i support i should start one! how did youre get started?
Gardenia- This particular group used to be a different group of ladies and it was Familia, which turned into Together, and they met in a cold church basement...when the books were done for those programs, some of the group still wanted to get together, so they decided to do books, and I offered our home (basement) so, we didn't have to worry about locking the church or insurance or stuff like that! (It's easier for me to go too, being in my home!) Last year other women picked the book, it's really just whatever ideas are out there, we look into it and pick a book that is discussable and we also go over the next Sunday's gospel reading and try to come up with a resolution for the next couple weeks.
All you'd need to do is invite a few friends over, we find 2x/month works, it's not too much and just enough time to read and be ready.
We are currently reading "My Domestic Church room by room"
