This is the way our tall, skinny, tree looked last night...
This is the way it looked this morning!
Great way to start my Monday morning....
I cannot get the tree to stand up, I think it's too tall and skinny!
We took all the ornaments off, unplugged the lights and laid it back down.
My floor is soaked, I'd just filled it with water about a 1/2 hour before it fell.
Crabby mama is around today.

It is a beautiful tree, Jamie! Good luck getting it back up!
ReplyDeleteOh my! It did look AWFULLY GORGEOUS when it was standing! How perfect it looked.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it was embarassed, standing there, all tall and skinny in front of the window for all to see....hehe...:) Sorry, just trying to look at it from the tree's perspective.
Good luck, hope it gets better, "crabby mama". (sorry, that makes me chuckle every time I read it...cannot imagine you that...)
Sorry about the tree and the mess!
ReplyDeletePraying you and your family have a happy and blessed Christmas!
Thinking of you and praying for you and your family too!
Love,
Maria
Oh no, Jamie! I hope by now your beautiful Christmas tree is back up and your day only got better from that point on!
ReplyDeleteOh, drat! I'm soooo sorry.
ReplyDeleteWe had that problem one year -- it didn't quite fall but wouldn't stand up by itself. My husband put a big screw into the floor (between the baseboard and carpet so when it came back out the hole wouldn't show) and we tied fishing line to the screw and to the tree. You might need two skillfully placed screws, but at least it will stand!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful tree. Hope you are able to figure out a way to make it work ... maybe a different tree stand??
ReplyDeleteRight before I went to bed last night I checked the in on the BLOG world. Cannot go a day....
ReplyDeleteanyhoo...I couldn't believe your poor Christmas tree in a supine position so sad and forlorn. Like someone came in the middle of the night and just knocked'er down.
Then I went to bed. And oh did I have dreams about you and that tree!
I am sorry to hear about the soaked carpet and hopefully not too many broken ornaments. I am sure you are busy getting ready for that Christmas party!
HANG IN THERE!
